Wax Crayon Samples – 2013

here are three wax crayons displayed as a work in progress and a representation of the potential for making a whole range of drawing implements from wild and foraged materials. Colours are green – dried and ground nettle leaf, black – ground and charcoaled white willow sticks, white – dried and ground egg shells. These pigments are bound and held with beeswax creating a tough and versatile drawing implement. Displayed on birch polypore mushroom paper.
