Hussian College
Intro
My creative career started with my alma mater, Hussian School of Art, in 2012 as an in-house Graphic Designer. In 2017, I achieved a promotion to Creative Director as Hussian gained College status. It was a very busy time, we grew as an institution purchasing Daymar College and Relativity School in Los Angeles. Our 4 person marketing team worked extremely hard to provide marketing for a total of 7 campuses in 5 states. This experience honed my decision making, workflow, and production abilities.

Brand & Identity
In 2017, I was promoted to Creative Director & Lead Designer after redesigning our Admission packet and adding branding elements to work across our visual identity as a methodology.
Starting Point
The logo seen here was created by a design agency while I was still a Junior Designer at Hussian. I enjoyed the clean design, the lowercase “h” iconography, and the bold but soft Gotham Rounded font choice. However, the agency branding guide didn’t include any direction on imagery treatment or branded design elements.
Admission Packet
Using the new branding guide, I created patterns and assigned colors. These were first highlighted in the z-fold handout that served as a quick overview.

Hussian College Los Angeles (Studio School)
Hussian College first partnered with Studio School in 2018 to offer accreditation. Hussian purchased the school the following year and rebranded as Hussian College Los Angeles. I created this branding sheet to show how the new logo’s methodology would work, using screenshots from the website and stock photos.
Student Showcase Season - Promotional Assets
This four-fold 11x17 mailer announced the Los Angeles campus’s senior show events. I used our most exciting colors and configurations of cropped imagery in geometric abstraction to bring energy lively but clean list of performance information inside.
Recuring Show Covers
These squares served as event covers and thumbnails for showcases and competitions each season. The titles would remain the same but the treatments would change depending on the season campaign design. I carried over the design methodology from the Season announcement mailer (see above).
Student Production Covers
These shows change each year and are produced by the students with staff overseeing. The covers are a collaborative effort between myself and individual show producers, each one is original artwork created with input from students to craft a unique look.
